MEET THE OWNER

Hello! My name is Anacelie Verde Claro, and I am a craftsperson specializing in professional reupholstery, interior design consulting, furniture repair, wood refinishing, and custom sewing. My furniture studio is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have been sewing and refurbishing furniture for as long as I can remember…I love well-designed and well-made furniture, and have a particular affection for old pieces that have withstood the test of time. My career in upholstery began over seven years ago with an apprenticeship at a local shop, and I have since ventured out on my own, full of hard-earned skills, a desire to help others, and endless enthusiasm for textiles and design. MY PHILOSOPHY

My main focus is quality. I want your piece of furniture to support you, look its best, and last as long as possible, and I will do everything I can to achieve those things. Reupholstering and refurbishing furniture is my contribution to the health of our society–encouraging quality and longevity over quantity and mass-produced cheapness–and the health of our planet–saving furniture, one piece at a time, from going into the landfill.

My other focuses are beauty and customization. I take pride in my work, and I want you to love and feel proud of the furniture piece that you have saved and helped re-design. My work is a collaboration with you, and I will help you make sure the piece fits your specific tastes and needs.
